Yves Saint Laurent Kouros — Tell 99 · Shock

God Without Civet. They cut the beast out; the urinal joke stayed. Bourdon built it on civet, honey and oakmoss — “the fragrance of living gods,” said YSL. Then IFRA squeezed oakmoss down to 0.1%, and every reformulation shaved off another layer of beast. What's left is loud, flat bone and the urinal nickname. Four flankers, from Fraicheur to Silver, never brought the god back. He didn't fall on his own: the regulators took the beast, the internet took the name.
