For the house's 250th, Erwin and Olivier Creed wrote a formula everyone still rewrites: sharp pineapple on birch tar — smoke and leather. So the men's fruity chypre was born, and after it Armaf, Zara, a whole shelf. The crack: batches — for years buyers compare codes on bottle bottoms, the smoke fades, the «overrated» chorus grows. Still a legend: nobody buys a clone under its own name — they buy «like Aventus».
